Knewdles and Sos are unusual Korean sisters, to say the least. As they
work on their reality show and despite their marriageable ages, they choose
to live and make hip hop together in their Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn brownstone.
Knewdles (Kickin New Elevation When Daily Life Expects Sobs), is an MC
and producer; Sos (Sis On Strings), is a violinist and co-producer.
Separately, they have performed or recorded with Jay-Z, Kanye West,
Beyonce, Kool Keith, DJ GreenLantern, Immortal Technique, Alicia Keys,
Adele, Sadat X, Hasan Salaam and many more. Since teaming up three
years ago, the sisters, collectively known as Misnomer(S), have been
blessed to perform nearly a hundred shows in the New York area alone,
make television (local and national), radio and music video appearances,
self-produce and record their debut album, star in a national commercial
campaign for Converse One Star for Target and host monthly youth hiphop
workshop/open mics at their local Brooklyn Public Library. Together, they
have been steadily building a diverse audience which crosses boundaries of
age, race, sex and class. And although they plan to live apart eventually,
Knewdles and Sos will always remain committed to building and evolving, to
creating value in their various communities by social activism through their
art, and to exposing more and more people to their music. The full-length
